Project Name: Prince Albert School
Project Manager: Nathan Lawley
Flue HQ Limited were appointed for the design, supply and installation of the flue systems at Prince Albert High School which is currently under construction.
This High School is being built across 4 acres which will provide approximately 4,103sqm of teaching space. There will be 32 traditional class rooms and 27 specialist learning facility's situated in the school for subjects such as technology, art, music, drama and science. Other impressive aspects are the new four-court sports hall with changing facilities connecting to the main school building along with an outdoor floodlit multi- use games area which will provide shared sports facilities for the local community.
The flue systems we designed were serving 3No Lochinvar 123kw water heaters and 4No Hoval CHP 175kw Boilers. The product range we selected to suit both applications was our MF, Twin Wall Insulated Flue Pipe. This range is constructed from an inner wall of 0.4mm grade AISI 316L Stainless Steel and a 0.4mm grade 304 external wall. The 30mm void is packed with 128kg/mhigh density rockwool insulation.
The header, which is serving the 4No Hoval boilers, is a bespoke header and has been tailored to suit this specific application.
